Get to Know Waleed
My name is Waleed Ali. I’m a 24-year-old Canadian-born entrepreneur, real estate developer, and proud father and husband. I’ve been happily married since the age of 18 and am raising a wonderful 3-year-old son right here in Hamilton — the city I call home.
I built my first appliance business from the ground up and now operate several successful shops across the city, including within Ward 8. But my journey hasn’t been easy. I grew up in subsidized housing and know first-hand the struggles many families face just to get by. I’ve worked hard, made sacrifices, and fought every step of the way to achieve what I have today.
Now, I want to give back.
Hamilton gave me the foundation to build a future, and I’m ready to fight for others the way I fought for myself — with courage, honesty, and grit. I’m running to be your Ward 8 City Councillor because I believe in freezing municipal taxes, stopping rent hikes, investing in services for seniors, and bringing real accountability to City Hall.
