Policy
Campaign Policies & Practices
At aliforhamilton.ca, our mission is to serve the people of Ward 8 with integrity, transparency, and a steadfast commitment to community engagement. The following guidelines outline the standards and practices we uphold to ensure accountability, responsible communication, and public trust throughout Waleed Ali’s campaign.
Services & Community Engagement
We engage with residents through digital outreach, public forums, newsletters, in-person meetings, and issue-based advocacy. All campaign activities are conducted respectfully and in line with local laws and ethical standards. Any changes to planned events or communications will be shared in advance whenever possible.
Event Participation, Donations & Communications
Participation in events and contributions to the campaign must be confirmed through our official channels. Donations are accepted in accordance with municipal election regulations. Contributors will receive confirmation, and campaign communications will be shared through verified platforms only. Refunds, if applicable, follow Elections Canada or municipal guidelines.
Timelines & Commitments
We aim to respond to inquiries, community concerns, and scheduling matters in a timely manner. Availability for meetings or speaking engagements may vary based on campaign activity and scheduling. All commitments will be honored within realistic timelines and constraints.
Supporter Conduct & Responsibility
Supporters are encouraged to engage respectfully and constructively. Any materials shared, including feedback or personal stories, should be accurate. Misinformation, harassment, or misuse of campaign channels will not be tolerated and may result in removal from campaign correspondence or events.
Volunteer & Voter Support
We provide assistance with volunteer onboarding, voting resources, and community education. While we encourage active participation, we cannot guarantee outcomes such as voter turnout or third-party responsiveness. We are committed to empowering voters with accurate information and accessible tools.
Outreach Zones & Meeting Policies
In-person outreach, canvassing, and event participation occur within designated areas of Ward 8. Residents outside these areas may be invited to join online events or meet at centralized locations. Missed appointments without prior notice may not be rescheduled.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
We kindly request 24 hours’ notice for cancellations of meetings, interviews, or volunteer shifts. Last-minute changes may affect scheduling and availability. Exceptions will be made in case of emergency or unforeseen circumstances at the campaign’s discretion.
Privacy Commitment
Your privacy matters. Any personal information shared with the campaign — including emails, addresses, and voting preferences — is strictly used for campaign-related communication and securely stored. We do not sell or share your data with third parties, unless required by law.
Policy Updates
aliforhamilton.ca reserves the right to revise these policies as the campaign evolves. Any updates will be communicated transparently via our website and official social channels, with changes effective upon posting.
